We Will Be Meeting on February 4, 2016.

We had not previously scheduled a meeting for February, but due to the need for stakeholder feedback on proposed groundwater basin boundary modifications in the watershed, we will be meeting next Thursday, February 4th at 9am. We will also be selecting a new alternate steering committee member for the Watersheds Coalition of Ventura County (WCVC). If you think you may be interested in being an alternate steering committee member, please email me by February 1st.

Stakeholder Forum This Thursday, January 28th

The second Upper Ventura River Basin Groundwater Sustainability Agency Formation Committee Stakeholder Forum will be this Thursday, January 28th from 6pm to 8:30 pm at the Oak View Community Center Kunckle Hall, 18 Valley Road, Ojai CA 93022.
Stakeholders will have the opportunity to learn about the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act, the Groundwater Sustainability Agency and Groundwater Sustainability Plan processes. The Formation Committee will be requesting targeted feedback from stakeholders on the processes and proposed basin boundary modifications.

Wednesday, January 27 – San Antonio Creek Campaign Focused Meeting

You are invited to the next San Antonio Creek campaign and planning meeting, on this Wednesday, Jan 27, 2016 5:30-6:30 pm to followup on the best leads for projects in the that sub-watershed. Other items to be discussed include recent grant success for water conservation (Renee Roth and Deborah Pendrey) and the opportunity for new facilitator for Green Coalition Watershed focus. This meeting will be held at the Resource Center for the Green Coalition at 206 N. Signal St., Suite S (upper floor), Ojai, CA 93023

Arundo Free Watershed Campaign Focused Meeting

The first Arundo-Free Watershed Campaign focused meeting will be on Wednesday February 10th at 9am. The meeting will be hosted by the Ojai Valley Land Conservancy at their office, 370 Baldwin Road, Ojai CA 93023. This will be an opportunity for everyone working on giant reed removal in the watershed to celebrate the great work that has been completed and discuss opportunities for further collaboration.
