Today 10am Time Certain: Groundwater Urgency Ordinance
On Tuesday December 6th 2016 the Ventura County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing to consideration the adoption of an Urgency Ordinance that would revise the County Water Well Moratorium Ordinance. More information including a live broadcast of the meeting can be found here.
More Groundwater Meetings
On Tuesday December 6th the Ventura County Board of Supervisors will be the last Member Agency to Execute the agreement to form the Upper Ventura River Groundwater Agency. This will be an 11am time certain agenda item with more information here.
On Thursday December 8th the Ojai Basin Groundwater Management Agency will be taking their submittal to the Department of Water Resources to their board. The meeting starts at 5pm. Get more information and the meeting agenda here.
Wednesday December 7th Arundo-Free Watershed Campaign Meeting
For those of you who would like to get into the weeds of the campaign, please join us on Wednesday December 7th from 9-10:30am at the Ojai Valley Land Conservancy, 370 W.Baldwin Road (the old Honor Farm), in Ojai. We will hear about all the work completed to date, talk about upcoming grant opportunities, ongoing coordination opportunities and more.

Matilija Dam Removal Gets Support From The Hewlett Foundation
The Hewlett Foundation announced a $50 million fund for river restoration in the west including $175,000 for local groups working toward the removal of Matilija Dam. Read more here
